What’s New in Ste. Genevieve?

Many planners know Ste. Genevieve as Missouri’s first settlement, or they know of it as the ‘gateway’ to the Ste. Genevieve Wine Country – but the most historic city on the Mississippi River has some big news for event planners:

In keeping with the French Colonial history of Ste. Genevieve, entrepreneurs Tom & Pat Hooper, recently opened the ASL Pewter Foundry to offer lead-free, food safe pewter of all kinds – ranging from authentic colonial era designs to new creations like jeweled boxes, beer steins and Christmas ornaments. Originally from Louisiana, MO their new home is an historic ‘ice house’ only a block from the courthouse square in downtown Ste. Genevieve. Groups are welcome to ‘watch the artists as they work’ and shop in the handsomely outfitted retail space. www.ASLpewter.com 573.883.2095 or email to [email protected]

Audubon’s of Ste. Genevieve, a recently opened destination restaurant with an open kitchen, wood-fired brick oven, chef’s seasonal menus featuring locally sourced ingredients, and a full bar with many local wines and microbrewed beers on tap. Featured on Great Day St. Louis, this is a farm-to-fork restaurant with private dining areas for groups and off-site catering services. www.audubonstegen.com 573.883.2479 or email [email protected]
