Following the successful launch of the new “West of Conventional” brand, Visit Salt Lake (VSL) has named Donna Rogers the first Director of Convention Sales – West Coast Office. A hospitality veteran, Donna will represent Salt Lake to California-based meeting and convention clients across all market segments.

She previously worked with Hyatt Hotels, FRHI Hotels & Resorts, Teneo Hospitality Group (which includes Snowbird and The Grand America), The Venetian and Canyon Ranch.  Donna is passionate about sustainability and works hard to integrate that cause into her professional life.  She is a past president of Society For Sustainable Events (SFSE Formally GMIC, Nor Cal) and is a recipient of the Sustainability Champion Award from PCMA’s northern California chapter last year.

“I’m honored to be joining such a seasoned, professional team,” said Rogers. “Salt Lake’s progressiveness and vibrancy continually amazes people, and I intend to showcase the story of its fresh, creative energy to a new audience. I want planners to experience the ease of logistics when booking their programs. Imagine, an eight-minute ride from Salt Lake City International Airport to our cosmopolitan downtown — surrounded by beautiful Rocky Mountains just 25 minutes away.  It’s a refreshing option for industry meeting and convention attendees.”
