The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) St. Louis Chapter is excited to welcome 2021 and the opportunities for both virtual and in person events.  The Annual GBTA 2021 Convention is scheduled for July in Orlando, Florida, and the St. Louis Chapter will once again provide scholarship opportunities to their members to attend the GBTA Convention.  Scholarship information will be available in mid-January on the website at stlbta.org.

Additionally, the St. Louis Chapter Board has decided to extend complimentary 2021 memberships to any current member that needs assistance due to the pandemic. Membership questions, including how to become a member, can be sent to Shannon Vines, membership@stlbta.org.

Below is the St. Louis Chapter’s current 2021 events calendar.  Be sure to save the dates and watch for updates!

The hospitality industry has been for lack of a better word, decimated, by COVID-19.  As states have opened, occupancies have increased slightly, but the St. Louis region, however, is impacted based on the county in which the hotel resides.  Hotels are working hard to get back to business and have increased technology like digital keys, established cleanliness standards, virtual events, complying with CDC Guidelines, and are even elevating meeting standards.  GBTA’s doors are open, and with the restrictions that are in place, they are elevating service levels and taking care of those who are ready to meet and travel.
