    View Results of 2020 State of Kansas Hotel Report

    In June 2020, Kansas had 64% property participation and 76% hotel room participation.  The results below reflect the % occupancy, average daily rate, and RevPAR between June 2019 and June 2020 collected by STR.

    The % occupancy changed -32.8% between June 2019 and June 2020, with June 2019 yielding a 65.5% occupancy, and June 2020 yielding a 44.1% occupancy.  The % occupancy YTD also decreased -30.6%, with June 2019 at 55.9%, and June 2020 at 38.8%.

    The average daily rate changed -17.6% over the span of a year, with June 2019 at $90.75, and June 2020 at $74.79.  The average daily rate YTD only decreased by -12.5%, with June 2019 at $88.77 and June 2020 at $77.71.

    Kansas hotel RevPAR underwent the most significant decreases, with a -44.6% increase between June 2019 and June 2020.  June 2019 started at $59.48, and in June 2020, the RevPAR decreased to $32.97.  The RevPAR YTD saw a decrease of -39.3%, with June 2019 at $49.61, and June 2020 at $30.13.
