From March 12-14, The Kansas Open Season Sportsman’s Expo took place face-to-face at the Overland Park Convention Center. Below are just a few highlights that attracted attendees to this three-day expo:
- Nearly 40 seminars took place with 11 different speaker
- Live fishing demos were given at the Hawg Trough with Pro Fishermen
- One exhibitor brought a 5,000-gallon mobile aquarium stocked with various fish (known as The Hawg Tank)
- The Trophy Deer Contest was hosted with a handful of entries and attendees bringing their “Sheds” to be scored
- There were numerous door prize drawings throughout the weekend that attendees could select from vendors
- The U.S. Army Outdoors team brought a boat and activities for kids such as corn hole boxes and fishing reels to test their skills
- Byron Ferguson had his Hoverball range, and kids able to use a play-type bow and arrow to shoot the air-filled balls and cones
