AirTran Airways Begins Multiple New Nonstops
BRANSON, MISSOURI – AirTran Airways began nonstop stop service at the Branson Airport (BKG) to and from Baltimore/Washington (BWI), Chicago (MDW) and Houston (HOU) over the Memorial Day weekend.
AirTran offers Saturday nonstop flights to and from Baltimore/Washington and Chicago and Houston four days a week. AirTran also offers twice-daily nonstop service to Atlanta (ATL) and Saturday nonstop service to Orlando (MCO). Southwest Airlines announced May 2, 2011 that it has closed on its purchase of all of the outstanding common stock of AirTran Holdings, Inc, the former parent company of AirTran Airways.
