On September 7, all eyes will be on the skies during the Lake of the Ozarks Air Show, which takes place every other year. At the Camdenton Memorial Lake Regional Airport, this one-day aerial spectacular draws over 10,000 spectators to watch impressive aerial stunts, view the planes up-close, meet the pilots and enjoy the festive atmosphere.
The Lake of the Ozarks Air Show gets started with a community pancake breakfast from 7:30-10:00 a.m. This breakfast is free for veterans and active service members and costs $8 per person for the general public.
After breakfast, the opening ceremonies begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Air Show running until 3:30 p.m. at the Camdenton Memorial Lake Regional Airport. Admission for the Air Show is free for all attendees. There also will be a convenient free shuttle running throughout the event for those parking at the Camdenton High School parking lots. Otherwise, parking on site at the airport is available for $10 per car.
On the docket for the 2024 Air Show are aerial stunts and performances by legendary professional stunt pilots Randy W. Ball and Lee Crouch, as well as Brian Corell and Bob Richards of Team Vortex. In addition, the KC Flight Formation Team and the Branson Barnstormer will be entertaining crowds with aerial stunts and routines. There also will be a B-25 Bomber flyover plus the crowd-favorite ping-pong ball drop that features a plane flying over the crowd and dropping hundreds of ping-pong balls from the sky for children in attendance to retrieve and exchange for prizes.
