This summer’s air-travel industry is a very publicized mess, with thousands of cancellations, delays, due to pilot and airline staff shortages, understaffed federal air traffic control facilities, bad weather, and heavy air traffic.
According to a CNN analysis of data pulled from flight tracking site FlightAware, US airlines have canceled more than 100,000 flights this year, with 30,000 cancellations since Memorial Day weekend.
The rise of airport traffic is at an all-time high since pre-pandemic era and causing chaos among passengers left stranded in the airports with delayed and cancelled flights.
According to CNN’s analysis of FlightAware data during the period from May 28 through July 13, here are the ten worst airports for cancellations and delays.
