Texas resort expands, welcomes medical meetings

 

The Gaylord Texan Resort in the Dallas suburb of Grapevine has announced it’s on the cusp of a $120 million expansion project.

The project will add 303 new guest rooms, for a total of 1,814; and 86,000 square feet of new meeting space, for a total of 490,000 square feet.

The expansion also includes a new 30,000-square-foot ballroom, terrace spaces, and more.  The Gaylord is accepting reservations for its new meeting facilities beginning with the 2019 calendar year.  It is owned by publicly traded Ryman Hospitality Properties Inc.

The Gaylord books key medical gatherings such as the annual meetings of the American Medical Group Association, Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, and Ambulatory Surgery Center Association.  For more information about the property, visit www.gaylordtexan.com.
