The St. Charles Convention Center is pleased to announce the promotion of Maria Castillo from Banquet Captain to Catering Sales Manager, effective May 2026.
In her new role as Catering Sales Manager, Maria will work closely with clients to coordinate event details and collaborate with the Food & Beverage Team for catering services.
A dedicated member of the St. Charles Convention Center team for the past 15 years, Maria has served in a variety of roles, including bartender, bar captain, operations team member, and box office staff. She also currently serves as the Convention Center’s Volunteer Coordinator.
“Maria’s extensive experience, industry knowledge, and passion for exceptional customer service make her a tremendous addition to our sales and catering team,” said Julie Davinroy, CMP, Director of Sales & Marketing. “We are excited to have her expertise supporting our clients and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our team and the events we host.”
Maria enjoys the fast-paced atmosphere of the hospitality industry and the energy that each event brings. Originally from the St. Louis area, Maria enjoys spending her free time hiking and gardening.
