Three years after bringing Chicago’s famous Navy Pier Ferris Wheel to Branson, The Track Family Fun Parks is bringing a new kind of thrill – Skyscraper – to the Branson area this season. The ribbon cutting and grand opening is set for Friday, May 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Track #3.
“We are excited to add Skyscraper to our family of attractions,” said Craig Wescott, CEO of The Track Family Fun Parks. “The Branson Ferris Wheel is a nice, relaxing ride that offers a beautiful view of Branson and the Ozark Mountains. Although similar in height, Skyscraper will offer an experience that is on the other end of the thrill spectrum.”
Skyscraper’s base tower stands 80 feet tall, and the windmill-style propeller arms extend over 160 feet tall at their maximum height. The propeller arms will spin at a maximum speed of 60 miles per hour, producing a G-force effect. The ride will carry up to four total passengers, with two seated at the end of each arm.
“We find that many of our guests are seeking even more thrills than we currently offer,” Wescott added. “On Skyscraper, riders will experience the force of four G’s, similar to what a pilot feels flying a fighter jet.”
At night, Skyscraper will feature LED lighting, designed and installed by Michael Haygood and Eric Lorscheider, enhancing both the ride experience and the atmosphere on park. Skyscraper is located at The Track Family Fun Park #3 facility (2505 W. 76 Country Blvd.).
