Since reopening from COVID-19 in June, the Saint Charles Convention Center has been successfully hosting meetings and events in a safe environment. The SCCC has taken safe meetings to the next level with preventative measures including wearing of face masks, cleaning of touch points, and a great investment into healthier air quality. In September, a new ionization and UV-C mitigation technology was installed into the HVAC system. These technologies are proven to neutralize bacteria, viruses, and 99.9% of COVID-19. Meetings and events are now taking place in hospital quality air throughout the entire facility. And with spacious room sizes, socially distanced sets can also be accommodated. Should one decide to add virtual components, SCCC has an in-house IT and Media Service department to handle those aspects of their event.
We couldn’t be more pleased with the preventative measures that have taken place at the Saint Charles Convention and the effort to keep the meeting industry moving forward. Everything about meetings changed in 2020, and the Saint Charles Convention Center has embraced that change so that the experience of in-person events can still take place. The staff from each department has been trained vigorously on the new cleaning procedures so that they can continue to do their part to keep a healthy work environment as well.
The St. Charles Convention Center features 180,000 square feet of meeting space, full service food and beverage service, In-house Audio Visual and Decorating.
