The announcement that sports leader Rawlings will move its headquarters to Westport Plaza, opening a public experiential attraction, highlights additional development at the mixed use area planed for 2023 and beyond.
Westport Plaza owner, Lodging Hospitality Management (LHM) has announced they will open two new restaurants and the development’s first residential community on the 42-acre site.’
Soda Fountain Express will recreate the success of the original Soda Fountain at St. Louis Union Station, The retro-style diner will serve traditional diner foods with a modern twist as well as its famous Freak Shakes, creative milkshakes loaded with extravagant toppings. The restaurant will open in the former Panera Bread location in June 2023.
At the top of the iconic Gold Tower at Westport Plaza, 360 West will be an indoor outdoor restaurant and bar that builds on the popularity of the original 360, located at the top the St. Louis Hilton at the Ballpark in downtown St. Louis. The Westport location will offer lunch and dinner, creative cocktails and a terrace with views over St. Louis County. 360 West will open in December 2023.
Westport Plaza’s first residential community will open in January 2025. Called The Porter, the complex will offer 255 one and two-bedroom luxury apartment homes along with residential garage space. The project will cover a total of 377,750 square feet. A two-story entryway will lead upstairs to a community Club Room and fitness and yoga centers. Residents will have access to a private courtyard with a pool, spa and leisure areas.
Additionally, LHM will be completing renovations of Westport Plaza’s two Sheraton hotels in 2023. New green space will be created within the plaza for concerts and other outdoor special events.
