Plan brings $72 million in KC development, saves historic hotel

City Club Apartments LLC of Farmington Hills, Mich., is planning to redevelop a swath of Kansas City in a $72 million plan adding luxury apartments, plus a new restaurant on the former site of the Hereford House, which burned eight years ago.  The plan will save the historic Midwest Hotel, which has sat vacant.  The redevelopment site includes the area between 19th Street, 20th Street, and Walnut and Main streets, with the exception of two existing buildings.  Visit to read the full story.  (Photo courtesy of Kansas City Business Journal)
