Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center has named highly respected hospitality industry executive Jon Davidson as its new General Manager.
In his new position, Davidson is responsible for overseeing all operations of Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center. Prior to joining the 301-room resort, he served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Shangri-La Golf Club, Resort & Marina on Monkey Island, Oklahoma. The 30-year hospitality industry veteran’s extensive experience also includes serving as Senior Director, Hospitality Services at the 454-room Cherokee Casino Resort/Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma for more than eight years; as Corporate Director, Hospitality Services at Cherokee Nation Entertainment/Resort in Tulsa; and as Vice President of Operations for Regency Hotel Management in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for 18 years. His broad experience includes multi-faceted hotel operations, acquisitions and conversions, design expansions, brand conversions and new construction.
Davidson is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) and Certified Food & Beverage Executive (CFBE), and has received numerous honors including being named “General Manager of the Year” for the state of Oklahoma by the Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association. He also has served as a Board Member for the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA), and as an officer of several state and local hotel associations.
