People Update: Jolene Dempster


The St. Joseph, MO Convention & Visitors Bureau announced in 2020 that Jolene Dempster has taken over the Convention/Meetings market which also includes reunions and social events.

Jolene graduated from the Nettleton College, and since joining the industry, she has participated in the Executive Program in Destination Management through DMAI and the Sales Academy for Destination Selling.

Previously, Jolene worked as the Group Tour Manager for the CVB.  She has 22 years of tourism experience with destination marketing and hospitality industry success.  She also assists in developing marketing plans that communicate and deliver tourism experiences throughout Northwest Missouri.  Jolene is the administrator for the Pony Express Region Tourism Commission.

In her spare time, Jolene enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with her family.  She volunteers for various local organizations and the American Red Cross.
