Cedar Lake Cellars, a winery and event facility in Wright City, Mo., has named Gabriella Bolm vice president. She is responsible for sales forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, and financial planning for the winery and event space. Bolm formerly worked in sales and business development for an international cosmetic company.

Visit KC recently added Francis Darko
as sales manager, working with the organization’s
short-term meeting market.
His territory includes the east coast and
southeastern U.S. Darko formerly served
as a personal financial representative for
Northwestern Mutual, and worked in the
hospitality industry in Accra, Ghana.

The Midas Hospitality hotel management
group has added Karen Pitts as task
force director of sales. She is responsible
for on-property assistance, training, and
sales and marketing strategy. Pitts also has
worked in sales director and sales manager
positions for other hotels in the St. Louis
metropolitan area.

Midas Hospitality also recently hired
Jacob Neubauer as revenue management
coordinator. His responsibilities include
pricing strategy, quarterly revenue management
objectives, and e-commerce
opportunities for the company. Neubauer
previously worked in sales manager
and guest services positions for other
hotel properties.

The Saint Louis Zoo recently named
Euclid Strayhorn CMP to the post of catering
operations manager. Strayhorn has an
extensive history in government contract
meeting planning, hotel banquet facility
management, corporate food and beverage,
and related fields. He is a past owner of
catering and electronics businesses as well.

The Greater St. Charles Convention
and Visitors Bureau’s Joe Ward recently
received his Certified Destination Management
Executive credential from the
Destination Marketing Association International.
Ward is director of the CVB.

Spectra Food Services & Hospitality
and the Gateway Center in Collinsville,
Ill., have named Carl Vollmer executive
chef. The Cincinnati native attended
the Midwest Culinary Institute, specializing
in pastry arts. He formerly served
as head pastry chef, kitchen supervisor
and executive sous chef at Duke Energy
Convention Center in Cincinnati.

The Missouri Division of Tourism
Ambassador Award recently was given to
Lagina Fitzpatrick, group sales director for
the Ozarks Tri-County Lodging Association.
She received the award during the
2016 Governor’s Conference on Tourism
in Independence
