Dexter joined the Lodge at Old Kinderhook as their General Manager on February 18, 2019. Dexter is an experienced, results-oriented manager with over 30 years of demonstrated achievement in the hospitality industry.
Previously, Dexter worked with the Leisure Group of Companies. He started his tenure with Leisure in February of 2007 as their Corporate Director of Food and Beverage and became General Manager of the Camden on the Lake Resort, Leisure’s flagship resort, in 2013. Following his assignment at the Camden on the Lake Resort, in 2016, Dexter was assigned to consult and troubleshoot two additional projects with Leisure Hotels & Resorts.
Dexter also held different positions at the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City, Kansas, after he began his career in the kitchen at the Playboy Resort in Lake Geneva, WI; then joined Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in the mid-1970s where he spent 14 years developing his culinary and management skills. He participated in the opening of three new Hyatt Hotels, before joining Kansas City Marriott Downtown in 1989.
