A new casino is coming soon to the Lake of Ozarks. The Osage Casino, a $60 million investment, is planned to join the other entertainment options in the Ozarks community. Osage Nation announced the building plans for the 28-acre site in October 2021.

Located across from Eagle’s Landing Shopping Center, the Osage Casino will be a multi-use complex equipped with a casino, hotel, restaurants, entertainment space, and meeting and event centers.

The investment project will be completed in multiple phases, with phase one completing the casino, restaurant, sports bar, and meeting space. Demolition began in April 2022 on the vacant hotel and building lot the casino complex will be taking over. Construction is expected to commence upon approval from the Department of Interior.

The goal of the Osage Casino is to bring more jobs, entertainment, and tourism back to the Lake of Ozarks.

“We are excited to welcome any new development to Lake of the Ozarks that can help grow our tourism community,” Lake of the Ozarks Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Heather Brown said in a press release. “We are looking forward to developing a partnership with the Osage Nation’s new entertainment district at the Lake of the Ozarks.”

The Osage Nation has a long history with Missouri and once had 200,000 members at its peak. The tribe’s historical influence in the Ozark Lake region is still found and thriving today.
