The FOCUS Marines Foundation (FMF) was created for veterans, by veterans, to help retired Marines cope with their transition back to civilian life. This organization offers a free program for veterans called FOCUS, helping retired marines understand their goals and identity outside of their militant vocation.
A wide range of motivational speaker and coaching services are presented throughout the course, from teaching retired Marines how to network in a casual and professional setting, along with valuable skills for their societal career, such as writing a resume.
“FOCUS helped me to realize that I am not the only Marine who has come back into society with a little baggage on their shoulders… The staff and numerous resources were astronomically impressive. It all turned out to be a rewarding experience… FOCUS lets a Marine know they’re not alone, they’re a part of a legacy, and people really care about them. – Tyler, FOCUS Class 2015
FOCUS intends to provide retired Marines the life-long connections, motivation, and resources a veteran needs to reintegrate into their community and experience a joyful life. For more information, visit focusmarines.org.
