    New Hotels Opening in Missouri: A Sneak Peak for 2020 and Beyond

    Several new hotels are slated to open in the Show-Me State! These venues are proposed to begin opening around February 2020, and you may consider holding your next meeting, event, or industry conference at these under-construction destinations.

    Cambria KC

    Cambria Kansas City – Downtown | Opening in 2021

    Kansas City, Missouri is expecting to receive a Cambria hotel by 2021. This Choice hotel is going to be located at 205 W. 9th St. and will offer 149 guest rooms in its five-story building. With this, it will not only offer you state-of-the-art, multi-functional meeting space, but many of your attendees will be able to stay on the premises as well. There will be several on-site dining options that include local beer on tap.

    The Cambria Kansas City – Downtown will allow its guests convenient access to the city’s Power and Light District – the dining, shopping, office and entertainment zone downtown. This area contains many of Kansas City’s most popular restaurants, shops, and attractions such as The Kansas City Convention Center and KC Live!

    Choice Hotels International, Inc. has awarded the franchise agreement to a builder, so this facility can become reality. The finished project will unveil in the next couple years.

    Element by Westin

    Element by Westin, St. Louis – Midtown | Opening in 2020

    This 152-room Midas hotel will open in early summer 2020. With an 8th floor rooftop meeting space, you and business associates can witness a skyline view of St. Louis city and St. Louis University (SLU) into your upcoming meeting and event.

    Because of its central location, this property will be a designated hotspot for Billiken sports fans, students, and alumni. It will also attract anyone looking for a luxurious room, fun meeting space, a happy hour, or late-night cocktail. This hotel plans on collaborating with the “borrow-a-bike” program, giving attendees an opportunity to stay active during their stay.

    Fairfield Inn Suites by Marriott St. Louis Downtown

    Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, St. Louis – Downtown | Opening in 2020

    Located down the road from the historic and recently revamped St. Louis Union Station, a brand-new Fairfield Inn & Suites is undergoing the final stages of completion. This property is located at the former site of Harry’s Restaurant and Bar, and it is planned to open in February 2020. The hotel will contain three meeting rooms, amounting to 1,892 square-feet of total meeting space. In this five-floor property, there will be 112 rooms and 24 suites to accommodate attendees.

    Hotel Indigo

    Hotel Indigo, St. Louis – Downtown | Opening in 2020

    Located in the business district of downtown St. Louis, Hotel Indigo is an eclectic boutique hotel that will debut in 2020. This property will contain 2,084 square-feet of flexible meeting space, with two meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 100 attendees, staffed with on-site meeting professionals to help plan your meeting, event, or conference.

    This eight-floor hotel will have 86 luxurious rooms, two suites, two restaurants, and bar on site. In addition, Hotel Indigo, St. Louis – Downtown is pet friendly, and this establishment will have several amenities such as a health and fitness center and spa.

    St. Albans

    Inn at St. Albans | Renovations complete by 2021

    The construction of the new $3.6 million lodge at Inn at St. Albans began in October 2019. This will double the number of overnight accommodations at this lodge. Meeting planners asked, and the Inn responded… namely for more opportunities for corporate retreats, destinations weddings, and weekend cooking school businesses. The construction of this new accommodation site, which will additionally contribute another meeting space for up to 25 attendees, is expected to be completed by summer 2021.

    Live by Loews

    Live! by Loews, St. Louis – Downtown | Opening in 2020

    Coming in February 2020, alongside Ballpark Village – is Live! By Loews. This property will be the newest feature of St. Louis’ baseball district, with first-class hospitality and superior amenities. The hotel will contain 216 guestrooms, 17,000 square-feet of meeting and special event space, the great room lounge, and a lively outdoor rooftop terrace with greenspace. These features will make Live! by Loews a popular hub for downtown St. Louis meetings and conferences. In addition, meetings that are booked before the end of December 2019 will be discounted!

    The Moxy, St. Louis | Opening 2020

    Springfield – Downtown | Opening 2020

    The party-themed Moxy Hotels by Marriott, proposed to open in downtown Springfield and St. Louis in summer 2020, are attractive economy hotels that will appeal to young and young-at-heart travelers. The Moxy properties in New York City, Chicago, Memphis, Atlanta, New Orleans, Seattle, and Denver are known for their edgy nightlife scene, trademarked by a black and hot-pink color scheme.

    If you and your company are looking to retreat for the evening and go to an “after-work-party”, the bustling environment at these up-and-coming hotels will make for entertaining environment to unwind and network.
