The Millennium Hotel in downtown Cincinnati Ohio will shut down on New Year’s Eve. The Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority has a purchase contract for the hotel and plans to close on the property by Feb. 14, 2020. The Port, which has a purchase agreement, will acquire the 872-room hotel for $36 million.
The plan is to demolish the hotel for the construction of a new convention center hotel, as well as a potential expansion of the Duke Energy Convention Center. The new development will include a 1,000-room headquarters hotel, along with a convention center expansion.
