Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau Staff Changes

The Louisville Convention & Visitors Bureau (LCVB) has named three new members to its staff, and promoted two others.

Lauren Johnson has been named Convention Sales Manager handling
groups with 300 rooms on peak.  Her markets include Education, Cultural, Health/Medical and Scientific/Engineering.  Before coming to the Bureau, Johnson worked at Churchill Downs as a Group Sales Manager.  She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky.

Ange McKinneyAnge McKinney has been named Executive Assistant to the President & CEO. She will provide principal administrative support to the President & CEO, as well as scheduling, coordinating and otherwise supporting the needs of the Board of Commissioners.  Before coming to the Bureau, McKinney was the Lead Judicial Secretary for Judges James Shake, Charles Cunningham and Kathleen Voor Montano in Jefferson Circuit Court in Louisville, Ky.  She is a graduate of Phoenix University.

Laurianne MathesonLaurianne Matheson is the new Research Administrative Coordinator. Matheson’s responsibilities include assisting with researching new and emerging strategies in the travel industry; managing the RFP process for studies conducted by outside firms; and, making sure the information from those studies is made available to the staff and public. Before coming to the Bureau, Matheson contracted at the American Printing House for the Blind as a research specialist.  Matheson is a graduate of both Clemson University and Southern Polytechnic State University.

Brooke Newton has been promoted to National Sales Manager in the Bureau’s Convention Development Department and Susan Dallas has been promoted to Senior Communications Manager in the Marketing Communications Department. Newton’s markets include; Agricultural, Fraternal, Veterans, Military, Corporate and Public Affairs.  As the primary media liaison, Dallas works to enhance Louisville’s profile as a top leisure and meeting destination through public relations and media strategy.
