Learn more about Standing Rock pipeline protest in ND

Many Americans, including MM&E publisher Joe Clote, have Native American family history and are watching the Standing Rock situation in North Dakota with grave concern. Standing Rock Sioux and members of other tribes are staging a peaceful protest, concerned that plans for a nearly $4 billion, four-state Dakota Access Pipeline pose a threat to tribal lands and the safety of their water. The situation has been escalating, with dogs being used against the protesters (see MSNBC video report below).
