This Historic Plaza Icon Reborn

Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza is about to welcome a thoughtfully restored landmark. The Park Hotel on the Plaza, a Tapestry Collection by Hilton property, is set to open in fall 2026 inside a century-old Spanish Revival building that has long defined the neighborhood’s skyline.

The Building’s Legacy

Originally completed in 1925 as the Park Lane Apartments, the six-story structure has been a fixture of the Plaza for 100 years. Its limestone façades, arched colonnades, and the words “Pride of the Plaza” carved into the original elevators will remain central to the experience. Every detail of the building’s heritage is being carefully honored while delivering the modern comfort today’s travelers expect.

Location is a major draw. The hotel sits in the heart of the 15-block Country Club Plaza, Kansas City’s original shopping district known for its Spanish-inspired architecture, world-class restaurants, independent galleries, boutique retail, and iconic fountains. Visitors can walk to the Plaza Arts District, public sculpture, and some of the city’s finest streetscapes.

Accommodations

Guests will find boutique rooms that blend historic character with contemporary updates. An on-site dining experience celebrating Kansas City flavors is planned, along with event and wedding spaces ideal for celebrations just steps from the Plaza fountains.

With approximately 121 guest rooms and a focus on rooted, place-driven hospitality, The Park Hotel on the Plaza offers a distinctive new base for exploring one of Missouri’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Those interested can join the hotel’s list for opening updates and early access to rates.

A historic Plaza icon is ready for its next century — and for travelers ready to experience it.
