Intercompany Accountant

Major Responsibilities (essential job functions, scope of the job etc.):

The Intercompany Accountant is responsible for ensuring the intercompany monthly closing process is completed timely and accurately.

Primary activities include:
•Processing transactions between Monsanto entities
•Billings for services and goodsInitiating cash transactions
•Preparing Goods-in-Transit reports for accrual purposes
•Creating and reviewing intercompany aging reports
•Managing all intercompany related reconciliations as well as payrol reconciliations
•Uploading daily cash process

Additional responsibilities of the role include the following:
•Reconciliation of intercompany receivable, payable, and general ledger accounts.
•Maintain effective internal control framework around intercompany activities including compliance with CCP’s and SOX requirements.
•Assist in identifying and implementing best practices and procedures.
•Provide support to internal customers.
•Understand ex-US legal requirements and standard work practices.

Required Skills/Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
•Familiar with financial statements, general closing procedures, and internal controls
•Ability to work with a diverse team of financial contacts worldwide
•Strong problem-solving skills
•Results Orientation and ability to meet key deadlines

Desired skills/education/experience/attributes (ideal candidate):
•Portuguese or Spanish highly desired
•SAP Experience
•Ability to implement process improvements
•Ability to manage multiple tasks and demands
•1 or more years of experience
