IMMPA’s Medical Meeting Certificate Changes Hands

May 28, 2014

Beginning on June 1,  the International Medical Meeting Professional group–IMMPA–will be relinquishing control of their Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate (HMCC) and will be handing over the reigns to Meeting Professionals International (MPI).

Pat Schaumann will become the new professional development director, giving up her old title of administrator of IMMPA, and she will continue promoting the HMCC. Schaumann will also be the go-to person for all MPI healthcare subject matters.

In the fall of 2009, at the Missouri Meetings & Events Kansas City Expo, IMMPA held their inaugural informational classes and developed their board objectives.

“We are proud to have played a role in the incubation of IMMPA,” said Joe Clote, group publisher of Missouri Meetings & Events and MEET Med Magazine. “What I didn’t expect was how quickly the national associations like MPI, PCMA, ISES, and CIC would embrace the need for a medical meeting certificate program and certification.”

All IMMPA members will be given a free MPI membership until the end of the year.
