Hotel Planned for Downtown Journal Star Site

A new hotel is planned to be built at the Lincoln Journals Star’s downtown production building north of Q Street, between 9th and 10th Streets in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Drury Development has a contract to buy the site and plans to close next month and develop a Drury branded hotel. The site includes more than two acres and a one-acre parking lot at 900 R Street.

Drury’s current projects include a seven-story, 180-room Drury Inn & Suites in Tallahassee, Florida, and Lafayette, Indiana. The company also just opened a 22-story, 389-room Drury Plaza Hotel in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, and a 14-story, 229-room Drury Plaza Hotel in the Dallas suburb of Richardson, Texas.
