The Hoffman Family of Companies, an owner of several wineries in Augusta, Missouri, recently acquired 50 additional acres of land to construct a five-star hotel for its up and coming national wine destination. This 100-acre hotel will contain 53 rooms and seven suites, in addition to conference and meeting space, a wedding venue, spa, gym, yoga studio, indoor and outdoor pool, walking paths, a lounge and restaurant. It will be located next to Knoernschild Vineyard off of highway 94, and construction is to begin this fall. Development is estimated to be complete in a year and a half.
In addition to the Augusta hotel, the Hoffman Family of Companies is also planning to build a 18-room luxury hotel 13 miles from Augusta at the Emmaus Home Complex, which is a former seminary it acquired earlier in the year. Both properties will provide housing for employees, which, in totality, is estimated to create more than 300 new jobs. Details for this project are forthcoming.
