Five Parks Across the Region with Outdoor Pavilions

    By Olivia Orman

Spring is right around the corner, which reveals a whole new spectrum about how we can plan creative meetings and events!  It can be difficult to sit still and meet in the office as the sun shines through the trees, but who ever said you had to stay inside for your spring meetings?  Hammock Chats covers five parks around Missouri with outdoor pavilions where meeting planners can coordinate productive outdoor meetings or events this spring season.

Bluff Top Pavilion and Amphitheater – Eminence, MO

Echo Bluff State Park offers an assortment of outdoor event spaces that transform the ordinary office meeting into an outdoor extravaganza.

For sizable company gatherings, the wood and stone Bluff Top Pavilion, overlooking the state park’s scenic bluffs and trails, accommodates up to 150 attendees.  Medium and smaller outdoor meetings and events are most suitable for the amphitheater near the lodge or the two medium and two small picnic shelters in the park.

Meramec State Park – Sullivan, MO

Scattered throughout this southeastern Missouri cave state park are four picnic shelters that cater to a variety of outdoor meeting and event needs.

For larger company gatherings, Shelter I accommodates up to 100 attendees, and Shelters II and III fit up to 75 attendees.  For outdoor company events 50 attendees and under, the Overlook Shelter near the river valley is most suitable.

Lake of the Ozarks State Park – Lake Ozark, MO

The two picnic shelters located at the public beaches and McCubbins point of Lake of the Ozarks State Park allow outdoor meetings and events to be taken to the lake!

Both the stone Grand Glaize Beach Shelter, located within the greenery of the park, and the Public Beach #1 Shelter, located near the state park campground, accommodate between 50 and 100 attendees.  In addition, Public Beach #1 is equipped with an electrical outlet.

Table Rock State Park – Branson, MO

If your company is in the southwestern region, and you want to coordinate your next business outing outdoors, take your meeting or event to the pavilion at Branson’s Table Rock State Park!

The Table Rock picnic shelter is located across from the park office, and it accommodates up to 100 attendees.  In addition, this pavilion is equipped with an electrical outlet and water.

Rotary Park – Blue Springs, MO

Located near the Kansas City region, Rotary Park offers two shelters where companies can meet outside, quite literally, of the office and admire public displays of art.

This 12-acre park is a suitable outdoor location for smaller company meetings and gatherings, with each shelter accommodating less than 70 attendees.  Shelter #1 in the park contains eight picnic tables and seats up to 64 attendees, while Shelter #2 contains four picnic tables and seats up to 32 attendees.

    Meet Outside

This spring season is a wonderful opportunity to explore Missouri’s regional parks with your company and meet at these scenic pavilions.  The Show Me State is abundant with outdoor meeting locations that provide a fresh lens for planners and attendees as they explore new ways to meet and bond with their company.
