By Mattie Yallaly, GBTA St. Louis Chapter Member

Shannon Vines has been a member of the Global Business Travel Association St. Louis Chapter since 2019.  Currently serving on the Executive Board of Directors as the Director of Membership, she is responsible for recruiting new members, retaining current members, and helping keep track of dues and sponsorships with the Treasurer, as well as the Business Development Director.  Shannon, additionally, serves on various committees with her engaging energy and excitement. She is an active member who works diligently to ensure members feel included and is always willing to meet and connect members to network together.  Shannon has always turned a stranger into a friend, and you can always count on her to have a smile on her face. Moreover, she is also on the board for the Megan Meier Foundation.

Shannon has worked for Avis Budget Group since July 2018.  She serves as an Account Manager for STL, Southern IL, and Indiana.  She has a true passion for travel and helping her customers receive the best service and experience with car rentals.  Through the challenging pandemic, Shannon has found new and creative ways to work with customers, members, and other partners in the travel industry.  Shannon spent 12 years working in higher education at Lindenwood University before pursuing a career in travel. She received her MBA while working at Lindenwood.

Her favorite thing to do when she is not selling rental cars is volunteering within her community.  You can always find her stepping up to organize or chair an event for the Megan Meier Board, as well as working with many other charities within St. Louis.  She loves spending time with her family and friends, and she is very in tune with fitness and nutrition.  Shannon was born and raised in St. Louis and now resides in New Town in St. Charles County.
