The Inns at St. Albans has hired Forrest Lee as its new director of operations as the transformation of the property into a historic travel, meeting and wedding destination continues to build. Lee has 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry with a strong background in property management and enhancement at nationally known historic resort destinations. He will be responsible for all operations at The Inns at St. Albans, which dates to 1843.
Lee comes to The Inns at St. Albans from Blackberry Mountain in Walland, Tennessee, where he managed the portfolio of privately owned homes at this upscale mountaintop resort for three years. He also held a series of management positions at the Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia over a 15-year period.
“My father managed the nearby Country Club of St. Albans in the late 1990s and got to know Datra and David Herzog, current owners of The Inns at St. Albans, when they purchased the former Malmaison restaurant here in 2004,” Lee said. “Our family connections grew when I met the Herzogs several years ago at Blackberry Mountain. Their long-term vision for this property really connected with me. Today I am firmly committed to making this a regional and national destination.”
