The fourth annual “Cape Girardeau Storytelling Festival: Where the River Turns a Thousand Tales” was a great success with more than 641 people attending from more than 17 different states. The festival took place in historic downtown Cape Girardeau along the banks of the mighty Mississippi River on Friday, April 8, through Sunday, April 10. This year’s lineup included Willy Claflin, Elizabeth Ellis, Bil Lepp, Rev. Robert Jones, Kathe Brinkmann and Linda Dust. People of all ages loved the stories, the lumps in their throats, the tears in their eyes and the hearty laughs.
