The Haskell Foundation board met at Haskell Indian Nations University in Laurence, Ks. on February 8, 2013. Benny Smith, director of the Haskell U. Counseling Center, gave the opening prayer. Topics discussed were the fiscal status of the foundation, ongoing management of the Haskell U. alumni database, and the creation of a new logo and associated stationery for the foundation. Fundraising projections were also discussed, and new board officers were elected.

On Thursday, Dec. 21, 2012, the Missouri chapter of the Event Planners Association (EPA) held a Holiday Meet & Greet at the offices of MM&E. The event included a private wine tasting with wine journalist and photographer Tony Carosella. Attendees learned the basics of tasting and what wines are popular with different foods, plus the most popular vintages available at local wine shops. The tasting included several Missouri Wines and a discussion of the great improvements in Missouri’s expanding wine culture.
