Chef Kimber graduated from Le Cordon Bleu San Francisco in 2008 and Shaw Academy with a Personal Nutrition Diploma in 2015. Dean is the author of Happy Food Cookbook and Happy Baking & Desserts. Her recipes are plant-based, organic, locally sourced, and free of gluten, soy, dairy, corn, peanuts, hydrogenated oil, preservatives, and sugar. Dean also owns Nourish Cafe & Market, which has over 30 local vendors who are 90% organic.
Dean has conducted a variety of cooking classes at Nourish and other locations, like elementary schools and grocery stores, and she has taught cooking classes for doctors and children, focusing on healthy eating and nutrition. She also creates meal plans based on the client’s needs, like food allergies and medical diagnosis.
Dean has a television show on Plant Based Network and YouTube and is the host of the Holistic Kitchen podcast on Spotify. She is the Health and Food expert of Inside Columbia Magazine and a creative writer for Plant Based Spotlight Magazine. Chef Dean caters to the annual Como Wellness Conference every year and has partnerships with the American Heart Association and the Missouri Nutritional Alliance.
Outside the kitchen, Chef Dean is a 200 E-RYT with Yoga Alliance and a yoga instructor at Sumits Hot Yoga and Lotus Columbia. She taught physical therapy to Army soldiers and veterans, trained by Connected Warriror, and conducts yoga workshops throughout Missouri.
