Downtown Cleveland Hotel Moves Closer to Fully Unveiling Extensive Renovation this Summer
Hartmut Ott, general manager of the Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center, 1360 West Mall Dr., Cleveland, is proud to announce the soft opening of the hotel’s Greatroom. The Greatroom is one aspect of the hotel’s renovation that is set to be completed in July. The Cleveland hotel’s modern Greatroom’s décor is sophisticated and features elegant finishes and clean lines where guests are welcome to unwind in style with eclectic drinks and food. The hotel’s centerpiece offers both table and bar seating, and is designed to create an extraordinary sense of arrival to welcome groups of any size to the hotel.
“The soft opening of the Greatroom is a huge accomplishment for our team, bringing us one step closer to the full reveal of our multi-million dollar renovation set for this summer,” said Hartmut Ott, general manager of the Cleveland Marriott Downtown. “Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center is a premier destination in Cleveland and we are thrilled to introduce this sleek new space to our vibrant city.”
The Greatroom’s inventive craft-cocktails highlight the elevated experience of the renovated Cleveland Marriott Downtown, featuring drinks like After Midnight, Pineapple Skies and Speaking Gently, which features vodka, lavender syrup, lemon juice and soda. Developed by Executive Chef Michael Zanetos, the brand new menu offers bites to share, salads, entrees, sandwiches and desserts, including Siberian Night Cheddar Cheese-its, Spicy Sesame Seed Hummus, Kielbasa Sliders, Slow-Cooked Quinoa, The Greek Cuban, Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cake and more.
Designed by local K2M Design to enhance the guest experience as they work, dine, gather and connect, the new Greatroom is inspired by the sophisticated industrial elite of years past with custom combinations of classic materials and fine details. The walnut wood canopies above the bar area and around seating nooks create a rich color palette. The timeless look is achieved with stainless steel inlays, oversized porcelain flooring, custom metalwork that includes custom decorative light fixtures, as well as a vintage hand drawn skyline mural behind the guest services desk.
The 25-story, 400-room property with 15 suites, puts guests in prime position to explore the best Cleveland has to offer. Following the full renovation, Marriott Cleveland Downtown guests will be invited to savor fresh grab and go options at the Market Pantry. The lobby transformation also includes a stylish dedicated space for Marriott Rewards members, the M-Club Lounge, where they can relax and enjoy special perks. The hotel’s reinvention also extends to its 16 event rooms, boasting more than 17,000 square feet of meeting space, redesigned to reflect the sophisticated elegance of downtown Cleveland. Take advantage of the elegant space for lavish wedding receptions and creative dining options.
