Celebrating the National Park Service

Thursday, August 25, is the 100th birthday of the National Park Service, and the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial/Gateway Arch in downtown St. Louis has exciting plans to celebrate it.  At 11 am on the 25th, state and city leaders will gather at Luther Ely Smith Square for a ceremony followed by a picnic, food truck fare, desserts, and musical entertainment.  Return on August 27 and 28 for more commemorative events including concerts, performances, a Dred Scott mock trial, and more.  Visit the “calendar of events” page at www.gatewayarch.com for more information.
