Casa Don Alfonso at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis is thrilled to welcome the arrival of the fall season with new seasonal dishes, cocktails and coffee creations beginning October 10th. To mark the occasion, Mario Iaccarino and Don Alfonso 1890 Executive Chef Nicola Pignatelli will be visiting the property October 10-14th to share stories and inspiration for this seasonal refresh with guests.
Beginning with the dinner menu, the Casa Don Alfonso culinary team has been diligently crafting dishes to showcase the bountiful ingredients of the season. Antipasti features include Lobster Beignets with fresh greens and pomegranate reduction; Potato Gnocchi with chickpea puree, salt cod and garlic cream; Braised Beef Ravioli with parmigiano fonduta and black truffle; Chicken Supreme with couscous, dates, red wine and balsamic vinegar reduction. For dessert, Neapolitan traditions shine with the use of candied citrus in classic Profiteroles and Sweetened Ricotta Cheese Rolls.
Iaccarino and the beverage team looked to ancient Roman mythology for inspiration to elevate the spirited cocktail list. The Proserpina, a tribute to the goddess who was tricked into spending half a year in the underworld by eating a pomegranate, celebrates the sweet-tart flavor of the Sorrentine fruit with Tanqueray Gin, pomegranate juice, simple syrup and egg white. The Acqua Di Giano, meaning “Waters of Janus”, pays homage to the Roman god of change with Absolut Vodka, pear & ginger liqueurs, spiced ginger syrup and lemon. Guests are also invited to stop by the bar for caffeinated coffee creations like the Chestnut Praline Cappuccino with amoretti chestnut praline syrup, white chocolate, candied pecans and amaretti cookie.

Family-style Prix Fixe Menu
Enjoy a special sampling of Casa Don Alfonso’s fall menu on Saturday, October 14th with a four-course family-style menu perfectly portioned to feed four guests.
