The Ritz-Carlton in St. Louis is hosting the second annual Savor for Students event on Thursday, August 30th from 5pm to 7pm.
This event was conceptualized by Ritz-Carlton Executive Chef Melissa Lee who is an avid supporter of Lift For Life Academy. Savor for Students will feature elite chefs from around the Midwest for a culinary experience unlike any other.
James Beard Award-winning and nominated chefs appearing this year will include Gerard Craft (Niche Food Group), Kevin Nashan (Sidney Street Café and Peacemaker Lobster & Crab Co.), Jesse Mendica (Olive + Oak and The Clover & The Bee), Ben Poremba (Bengelina Hospitality Group) and Kevin Willmann (Farmhaus). Special luminaries joining the event for the first time also will include renowned chef Antonio Park of Park Restaurant in Montreal – one of the top 50 restaurants in Canada.
For just $99 a ticket, the event includes exclusive access to tapas-style bites, sushi, sashimi, a raw bar, beer, wine, spirits and live music.
All of the proceeds from this event go directly to the students at Lift For Life Academy (LFLA). LFLA was founded in 2000 under the sponsorship of Southeast Missouri State University and is St. Louis’ only independent and free-of-cost public charter school. Their unique approach provides education and healthy meals to nearly 600 middle and high schoolers, many of whom would not otherwise have access to nutritional guidance or meals. L
