23 City Blocks Catering proudly announces its fourth annual Bissinger’s, Bourbon + BBQ event hosted at The Caramel Room on Sunday, August 25, 2019. A hors d’oeuvres service and private tasting seminar with Dan Gardener of Four Roses Distillery of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky will begin at 12:30 for V.I.P. ticket holders. The rest of the festivities will begin at 1:00pm for general admission ticket holders. The event lasts until 4:00pm.

Guests will receive a commemorative tasting glass and event passport to start their journey through the sampling room with more than 100 bourbons to taste, including some special pairings of Bissinger’s handcrafted chocolates and 23 City Blocks’ Private Selection Four Roses bourbons. A premium level open bar is also available for all ticket holders, including a wide array of beer, wine, cocktail, and other drink options.

The BBQ and other delicious creations of Executive Chef Nicholas Miller will be available throughout, while outside on the roof-top terrace our culinary team will be preparing a spit-roasted, whole hog from Root + Holler, a family-owned business in Cape Girardeau, MO. Guests can settle-in and enjoy live music from country/bluegrass artists

The Root Diggers and contemporary country musician Stephen Paul, or find a comfortable seat and enjoy a hand-rolled cigar in the shadow of the iconic Bissinger’s sign.

The team from The Chocolate Pig, our restaurant located in the Cortex District, will be on-hand preparing some of the event’s signature items. This includes a nitrogen-frozen bourbon and chocolate creation from master chocolatier Chef David Owens and a series of BBQ, bourbon, and chocolate inspired cocktails from mixologist Kevin Titus.

General Admission Price is $85 per ticket. V.I.P. Admission is $135 per ticket and includes the pre-event private tasting seminar, and a signed bottle of 23 City Blocks Catering Private Selection Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon to take home and savor. For those keen only on sampling the Bissinger’s and BBQ, a Designated Driver ticket is available for $40 per person and allows guests to dive into the chocolate, BBQ and soft drinks.

The Caramel Room is a unique event venue located on the 4th floor of the historic Bissinger’s building at 1600 N Broadway, St. Louis, MO 63102.
