The Haskell Foundation is pleased to announce the hiring of Andi Weber as Haskell Foundation Executive Director. Weber is a Haskell Indian Nations University alum with a bachelor’s degree in Indigenous and American Indian Studies and graduated with a Master of Public Administration from The University of Kansas. She joins Haskell Foundation with over four years of experience in project management, strategic planning and grant development.
Prior to her employment with Haskell Foundation, Weber worked as a Senior Planner for Shoshone-Bannock Tribes in Fort Hall, Idaho, where she managed over 20 community and economic development projects, from budgeting to establishing community outreach plans and messaging regarding development projects for the community. Weber is an enrolled member of the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohican Indians of Wisconsin and a descendant of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin. She is looking forward to sharing her vision and helping grow the Foundation.
“After an extensive search, we’re excited to have Ms. Weber as our new Executive Director. It’s especially meaningful to have a Haskell graduate in this position,” Joe Clote, Haskell Foundation President, said. “I’d especially like to thank Aaron Hove for successfully seeing us through the challenging COVID times and putting the Foundation in the best position to bring on this new Executive Director.”
“Aaron has brought much needed credibility to the Foundation, particularly on the Haskell campus,” Gerald Tuckwin, long time Foundation board member said. “He was instrumental with locating funds for student scholarships and expanding the alumni data base. He will be greatly missed and we thank him for his quality contributions.”
In addition to the Foundation overseeing a recently announced National Science Foundation 20-million-dollar grant. Weber will establish strategic plans, which include fundraising, alumni relations, and managing capital campaigns, beginning with the Hiawatha Center for Justice currently underway.
“For the past almost four years, it has been a privilege to work with the Foundation’s Board of Trustees in fulling the Foundation’s mission of supporting Haskell and its students,” Mr. Hove commented, adding, “I am very pleased that Andi will be taking the reins for the Foundation. With her experience, commitment, and energy, I am confident that the Foundation will move forward in a very positive and meaningful direction.”
