Downtown Memphis will be receiving a $240 million Loews Hotel. Approved by the design review board, this 500-room hotel will be located at the Main Street Mall project in the downtown area. The hotel’s main entrance will be on Main Street, which will be reopened for vehicular traffic between Adams Street and Poplar Avenue. Service entrances will be located on Second Street.
Construction is set to begin later this year with completion in 2023. Plans include two ballrooms, meeting rooms, food and beverage services, and recreational amenities. Loews Hotels is partnering with Inland Pacific Cos. on the project, and Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio LLC is designing the project.
