Ameren Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days will return for its 18th year at the Lake on Saturday, January 4, 2020 and Sunday, January 5, 2020. The first live eagle program held in 1999 attracted 651 participants.  Last year, over 3,700 people attended to make it one of the most successful Eagle Days in years past.

A collective partnership with the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, Lake of the Ozarks Convention and Visitor Bureau, Osage National Golf Resort, FaceLift Marketing, School of the Osage Heritage Elementary and Missouri Master Naturalist – Lake of the Ozarks Chapter, announces Ameren Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days will return to Lake Ozark in January 2020.  Mark your calendars now for January 4 – 5, 2020 for this entertaining and educational event.  Highlights of the program include live eagles from the World Bird Sanctuary with naturalists on hand to answer questions at Osage National Golf Resort.  The programs will begin on the hour each day of the event. Visitors are urged to bring binoculars and cameras for optimal viewing and photo opportunities of wild eagles at Willmore Lodge and below the Bagnell Dam on the Osage River. Activities are also at School of the Osage Heritage Elementary and at the Osage River Access.

At School of the Osage Heritage Elementary two programs will be given by Dickerson Park Zoo. The first is the American Bald Eagle Program. The second program is the Built for Flight – Peregrine Falcon, American Kestrel, Chicken and Owl Program. The shows will begin at 9:30 am on Saturday and 10:30 am on Sunday rotating every hour. School of the Osage Heritage Elementary will also have activities for kids, coloring contests, and vendors.

This event is FREE and open to the public.  The event will be from 9am – 5:30 pm on Saturday, January 4th and from 10am – 4:30 pm on Sunday, January 5th.  It is the community spirit of the Lake of the Ozarks that makes this annual event possible for all to enjoy.
